1. MEMBERSHIP GRADES
1.1 Student grade membership
The requirements for Student grade membership are undertaking a QS or related degree course such as engineering, architecture.
1.2 Graduate grade membership
The requirements for Graduate grade membership are Level 1 QS knowledge, completed a QS or related degree course and currently working in the QS industry.
1.3 Affiliate grade membership
The requirements for Affiliate grade membership are Level 2 QS knowledge, completed a QS or related degree Course, 2 years determined QS work experience and passed an assessment of professional competence (“APC”) interview for Affiliate grade. Members are entitled to add after their names the post-nominal letters AQST(Affl).
1.4 Member grade (MAQST) membership
The requirements for Member grade membership are Level 3 QS knowledge, completed a QS or related Degree Course or holding equivalent membership of a recognized professional QS association/institution, 5 years determined QS work experience and passed an assessment of professional competence (“APC”) interview for Member grade. This is a Voting class of membership and members are entitled to add after their names the post-nominal letters MAQST.
1.5 Fellow grade Membership
The requirements for Fellow grade Membership are Level 3 QS knowledge, completed a QS or related degree course or holding equivalent membership of a recognized professional QS association/institution, 10 years determined QS work experience, passed an assessment of professional competence (“APC”) interview for Fellow grade. This is a senior grade of membership created to recognize commitment and service to the AQST and the profession of Quantity Surveying. This is a Voting class of membership and members are entitled to add after their names the post-nominal letters FAQST.

Definition of QS knowledge levels, QS or related degree course and QS work experience are defined in the Association (AQST) By-Laws.
Applicants should provide true and correct information at the time of the application. If false claims are made or misleading information has been provided or found at a later stage, the applicant or member may be in breach of the Code of Conduct and disciplinary actions may be taken or the application nullified.

3. SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS

Applications may take a number of months to be processed. All applications received by the AQST will be acknowledged with an email within one week of receipt.
4. APPLICATION FEE
The Application Fee is payable upon application and is non-refundable. The Application Fee is payable in Thai Baht. Payment can be made by direct deposit to the Association’s account. The Application Fee is:
- Graduate membership: THB 300.00 (VAT included).
- Affiliate membership: THB 500.00 (VAT included).
- Member grade (MAQST) membership: THB 1,000.00 (VAT included).
- Fellow grade Membership: THB 5,000.00 (VAT included).
AQST will be scheduling all applicants’ APC interviews upon administrative approval from the Management Committee. Should an applicant withdraw from their scheduled APC interview at any point, the Application Fee will be charged again unless proof of medical reason is provided.
5. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE
The Annual Membership Fee is payable in Thai Baht. Payment can be made by direct deposit to the Association’s account. The Annual Membership Fee is:
- Graduate membership: THB 300.00 (VAT included).
- Affiliate membership: THB 500.00 (VAT included).
- Member grade (MAQST) membership: THB 1,000.00 (VAT included).
- Fellow grade Membership: THB 5,000.00 (VAT included).
6. CPD (CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT)
The following Membership grades are required to uphold their CPD requirements as per provisions outlined in the Association (AQST)’s By-Laws.
- Fellows 15 hours/points per year
- Members 15 hours/points per year
- Affiliate 10 hours/points per year
Graduate members are not required to undertake CPD.

The Association of Quantity Surveyors Thailand (AQST) was registered in 2022 and your company are cordially invited to support the AQST as a Partner of the Association.
